On Demand IT Support for your business

While developing our Ginger Assist offering we discovered that not every business is ready for a fully managed IT Services provider; some businesses just want to know that someone reliable is on hand when they need it most.

If that's your business then Ginger On Demand is for you. There is no regular monthly fee, you simply pay for the services you need as and when you need them. 

Pricing is simple. If you use our helpdesk services and we resolve your issue, you pay a fixed fee....no matter how long it takes to resolve. If we are unable to resolve your issue over the phone, you pay nothing. If we need to come out to help you, our normal hourly rate applies.

You will always be advised in advance of the charges to expect, so no hidden surprises or nasty bills.

Helpdesk Support

One of our trained, skilled and professional English speaking engineers will discuss with you the symptoms of your problem and will guide you through troubleshooting steps to get you back on track. For more in-depth issues and with your consent, we can remote control your computer to help diagnose and resolve issues.

On-site Support

Sometimes it may not be possible to resolve your issue over the phone, in which case we can dispatch to your premises a highly skilled engineer to investigate. The engineer will check, diagnose and troubleshoot the issue and attempt suitable fixes. In the event it cannot be fixed (i.e. a hardware fault that requires parts) the engineer will collect all the necessary information and provide a complete quotation for repair the same day. We can also do site inventories, site relocation, server relocation, infrastructure management and upgrades.

Computer Diagnosis & Clean Up

Computer performing poorly? Making strange sounds? Viruses? Malware? If you bring your computer to our offices located in Auckland's CBD we will perform a full diagnosis and clean-up of your computer. In most cases this is a same day service and includes:

  • Full Virus & Malware Scan & Clean Up (Using Commercial Grade Tools)
  • Full Memory Diagnostic Test (Can identify unexpected crashes/freezes)
  • Full Hard Drive Diagnostic Test
  • Disk Clean Up of Temporary Files (Freeing Valuable Disk Space)
  • Defrag of Hard Disk (Increases performance of your Hard Disk)
  • Report & Recommend on any other potential issues with suggested action

Data Transfer

Purchased a new computer? Want to transfer your files from your old computer to your new one? Our Data Transfer service is for you. If you bring your old and new computer to our Auckland CBD offices we will perform a full data transfer (Documents, Pictures, Movies, etc). If you would like your old programmes reinstalled on your new computer (and they are compatible, genuine and you have the installation media and legitimate licence key) we can do this for you also.

Computer Re-Installation

Occasionally it may just be easier to start from scratch. Computer Re-Installation involves wiping your computer of everything and re-installing it so it's as fresh and as fast as the day you purchased it. Combine this service with our Data Transfer service if you need your data restored afterwards.

Computer Hardware Repair

If you computer is physically broken, we can quote for replacement parts and install them all for one fixed fee. We can repair 99% of notebooks and desktop computers.
